Acquired a 30% stake £1.4M revenue Engineering company in Halifax which had low margins and profitability. After working with the owners we implemented some financial engineering, diversification and marketing strategies that more than doubled their pre-tax profit over the following 12 months. Continuing with the strategy and plan implemented by Monopoli, they now attract larger tenders with a high bid success rate and are consistently profitable and growing. They are on target to exceed £3.2M revenue this year (2023) with improved operating and profit margins.

DECEMBER 2020

Acquired a £1.6M revenue Dom care business in Blackpool which was struggling to make a consistent profit.

After implementing a turnaround strategy and financial controls, this business is not only now very profitable but is growing organically at 35 -40% y-o-y. Currently in discussions with a much larger trade buyer to acquire the company for 7 figures.

Consultancy role – Advised a Yorkshire based brewery and pub chain in relation to a restructure and acquisition of a competitor.

This successfully completed late 21.

JanUARY 2022

Took a equity position in a components manufacturing company in Leeds regarding a restructure due to their debt levels. It became clear quickly that they were heading towards technical insolvency, helped them restructure the company, removing the debt, whilst retaining the assets, cash and clients.

Implementing further financial management has allowed this company to growth sustainably now without any debt or reliance on Invoice discounting etc

Took a equity position in a £5.1M revenue fire, safety and security group in the North West.

The install side was loss making, which we restructured, but the service and maintenance side was very profitable – albeit poorly run. Put in place an exit plan and value for the current owners for 2025.
